The Summer Challenges

Three summer challenges. $100 each.

Students may take on one, two, or all three. Testing happens during the first two tutoring sessions in September 2026.

01Math

Multiplication Table Challenge

Memorize and recite the multiplication tables from 1×1 through 20×20.

  • Recite the tables to a Bear Creek Tutoring volunteer.
  • A maximum of 5 mistakes is allowed.
  • No partial payment will be given for partial completion.
$100award on completion
02Scripture

Bible Verse Memory Challenge

Memorize and recite 100 Bible verses, each with its Scripture reference.

  • The student may choose the Bible version they want to use.
  • Each verse must be recited with its Scripture reference.
  • A maximum of 5 mistakes is allowed.
  • No partial payment will be given for partial completion.

03Writing

Summer Journal Challenge

Write at least one handwritten page per day for any 60 days of the 90-day summer (starting May 22, 2026).

  • Include daily activities, help given to parents, chores, books read, and family moments.
  • Journal must be written daily — bulk writing at the end of summer is not allowed.
  • The journal must be handwritten by the student.
  • Bring the notebook to the first or second tutoring session in September 2026.

04WizePeeps

WizePeeps Lessons Challenge

Complete all the Khamu lessons in the WizePeeps app over the next three months.

  • Open only to Bear Creek Tutoring students using the WizePeeps app.
  • Finish every Khamu lesson within three months.
  • Progress will be reviewed in the September 2026 tutoring sessions.

Eligibility

Who can take part?

To participate, the student must meet each of the following conditions.

  • 01

    The child must be registered as a Bear Creek Tutoring student.

  • 02

    The child must have attended at least one classroom tutoring session within the past two academic years.

  • 03

    The child must be registered as a student for the next academic year.

  • 04

    Parents must text Stalin Michael at 469-955-2682 to confirm participation in one or more summer challenges.

  • Awards are given after successful completion and verification.
  • Final eligibility is determined by Bear Creek Tutoring volunteers and leadership.
  • All decisions are subject to the Bear Creek Tutoring Executive Committee.
